Hello folks,

i make no apology for this but I went to see the second best gig I have seen this year ( james at oran Mor was the best..sycophant...who me? No!) on Tuesday in manchester.

I went to see A-ha play and they are a phenomenal band live..really enjoyed it...the musicianship was class and it was a great mix of old and new songs....If you get a chance to see them before the split next year..go and see them...it will be worth it.

Pffthhhhrrrppttt   That's what I say to that!   I heard Aha's new song on the radio the other week, and I thought it quite pleasant.  Didn't know it was them to the end.  Hhhmm, I thought.  That's alright.

Twasn't me who named the thread, saddo.  ;

I was trying to be self deprecating to deflect the inevitable slagging ( although I think Alistair is a fan) for my love of eighties synth pop! ( and Mortens cheekbones are to die for!!).

They have released quite a lot of good songs on some slightly dodgy albums but the last two albums have been good.
